A tree grows in Brooklyn, and so did I! From my first Broadway audition as a clueless ten-year-old for the original The Sound of Music to my own Show and Tell, being selected for the Women’s Voices Theater Festival in Washington DC and the Kennedy Center, I invite you to share my special moments via songs and stories, aided and abetted by music and lyrics of Kander and Ebb, Rogers and Hammerstein, Menken and Ashman, Maltby and Shire, Bock and Harnick and more! Here is a recent video clip from the St Louis Cabaret Festival.

Thanks for visiting, Marilyn

Marilyn Hausfeld and Alex Rybeck have performed their widely acclaimed musical cabaret, Show and Tell (previously known as Just Between Us), at venues throughout the east coast. Original songs and Broadway tunes punctuate funny vignettes, intimate moments and poignant memories. This hour-long production is easily staged—just a piano, a stool, two mics and some lights! If you are looking for a fun and heart-warming show to support a fundraising gala, entertain a conference audience, create an intimate living room theater experience, or fill an entire theater, contact Marilyn.

This show could well have been titled, instead, A Haymish Cabaret, for the humor, warmth, and storytelling the act provided. She often provided context for songs that made one appreciate them in a new light.

All along in the background is musical director and accomplished pianist Alex Rybeck at the keys, accompanying her superbly without seizing the spotlight away. Theirs is a delightful partnership.
